Prawn & Mango Salad.

Okay, by now, each and everyone of us knows what a salad is. If you think about boiled okra dipped with belacan (prawn paste), well, it could be a salad as well. Salad kampung that is. ;p

But, I’m not talking about that, I’m talking about the ones that have greens and dressing. And tonight (at the time of this entry was written) I’m going to show how to make one of the many varieties of salad and it’s really easy, Mango & Prawn Salad (as seen on Taste.com). All you need is;

1. Cooked Prawns (RM 7.60).
Peeled, deveined, tails intact. Bought at Merdeka Supermarket

2. A large mango, peeled, thinly sliced (RM 11.11).
No, the mango doesn’t cost RM 11.11 each, but for around seven mangoes. Bought at CKS.

3. Lettuce (RM 1.90).
In the recipe, ribboned Lebanese cucumber was used. I substitute with lettuce because I thought I still have cucumber in my fridge. Bought at Merdeka Supermarket.

4. A cup of dry roasted cashew nuts (RM 3.20).

Method? A piece of cake! Just arrange all the ingredients on a plate and serve!

Enjoy. 😀

    this looks good and healthy. Seems like pretty simple to make but seems a little too pricy to get all the ingredients though

    Well, it depends on where you get your ingredients from. Getting the ingredients from the market or other supermarkets where you can get reasonable prices for the items. I just like to shop for ingredients at Merdeka because I like to shop there. 😀
